Network Engineer/Analyst II-Brooks City Base, TX

Provide technical expertise in conducting network and telecommunications requirements analysis, technology assessments, design, and implementation. Executes project plans and provides engineering expertise; supervises other engineering and technical staff. Works practically independently providing consulting services on advances operational problems associated with the use of computer or software systems to client personnel.
Responsible for recommending methods of investigation to be employed in the development of solutions to specific technical problems. Will initiate studies and suggest techniques involved in accomplishing client objectives. Develop and evaluate plans, principles and procedures for accomplishing client systems studies and proved professional analysis of methods and objectives. May train and assist less experienced personnel as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Participate in field network infrastructure surveys, data analysis, wired and wireless network design and implementation as part of an established network design engineering team in support of customer directed requirements.
Interact with Government and industry engineers to help develop system specifications and identify and integrate technologies.
Will provide escalated help desk troubleshooting and just-in-time support as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
BS Degree in appropriate IT-related field or other related field AND 10 years of technical experience in local area networks (LAN) installation, configuration, and maintenance. Experience with cable plant design and providing support in conducting network and telecommunications requirements analysis, design and implementation.
OR a MS Degree AND 5 years of technical experience in local area networks (LAN) installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Plus:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
This position is subject to up to 50% travel to various locations throughout the world.
